The Best Camping Music Festivals in 2024
1. Okeechobee Music and Arts Festival
Dates: The festival will not take place in March 2024. As stated by the event’s creator, they are taking a “fallow year”.
Location: Sunshine Grove, Okeechobee FL
A 4 day festival with camping, arts, wellness and music. With 7 stages of a diverse lineup of music including: Excision, Odesza, Griz, Earth Wind & Fire, Baby Keem and so many more!
Festival camping includes, car camping, tent camping, RV camping and glamping. Tickets range from GA, GA+, VIP to VIP Glamping. All passes are 4 day camping/festival passes. Shower stations are available on site.
Other activities include meditation, yoga, healing arts, sound therapy, workshops and more. And if you prefer not to drive, shuttle service to the festival is available from Orlando, Tampa and Miami.
2. Old Settler’s Music Festival
Dates: April 18-21, 2024
Location: Dale, TX
Old Settler’s is a 4 day Americana/Roots music festival featuring legends and up and coming Texan stars. Festival is located in Dale, TX just outside of Austin. Some of this years artists include Yola, The Wood Brothers, Shovels & Rope and many more to come! Past lineups include artists such as Brandi Carlile, JJ Grey & Mofro and Galactic.
The camping at Old Settler’s Music Festival is “part of the magic that defines Old Settler’s vibe”. So make sure to bring your instrument. And join in the drum circle to make some great music by the campfire.
There are 3 featured campgrounds on the festival site. Car camping, tent camping and RV camping are permitted. Camping is first come first served, but there is plenty of space with over 29 acres reserved for camping. You can dry camp or purchase a permit if you want electricity.
3. Coachella Music Festival
Dates: April 12-14 & 19-24, 2024
Location: Empire Polo Club, Indio CA
Coachella Valley Music Festival takes places over 2 weekends. You will need a pass for each weekend and they are already on a waitlist only option for 2024.
This years lines up has not been released, however previous headliners at Coachella include Billie Ellish, Ariana Grande, Beyonce and Eminem. But There is a lot more than music to experience at Coachella. Other than the 8 stages of music you will find lounges, immersive art experiences, the ferris wheel, Heineken house and festival merchandise stores.
Camping at Coachella includes car camping and tent camping. You can also reserve an exclusive safari tent or lodge. And a list of RV and off site camping is available on the website.
4. Stagecoach Music Festival
Dates: April 26-28, 2024
Location: Indio, CA
Stagecoach is one of the largest outdoor music festivals in world featuring country music. Last years musical performances include Chris Stapleton, Brooks and Dunn, Luke Bryan and so many more!
Other activities you can find at Stagecoach are Guy Fieri’s Smokehouse, Nikki Lane’s Marketplace, Diplo Late Night and the Compton Cowboys just to name a few.
Stagecoach offers car camping, RV camping with and without power, and glamping. You can also find nearby hotel accommodations with shuttle service to the festival.
5. Welcome to Rockville
Dates: May 9-12, 2024
Location: Daytona International Speedway, Daytona FL
This 4 day event is one of the biggest festivals for rock, hard rock and heavy metal music. The festival grounds are now located at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona FL after being relocated from Jacksonville FL in 2020.
This year festival goers will enjoy performances from Tool, Slipknot, Rob Zombie, Evanesense and so many more. Other activities at the festival include water slide, ferris wheel, wine garden and painting classes.
Camping at the festival includes car, tent and RV camping. RV camping options include dry camping, power only or power and water hookups.
6. Electric Daisy Carnival
Dates: May 17-19, 2024
Location: Las Vegas Motor Speedway
Electronic Daisy Carnival referred to as EDC is the largest electronic dance music festival in North America. This festival experience includes music, art, rides and performances with dazzling lights and pyrotechnics. The festival is 4 days, but there is a full week of events lined up.
To date, the 2024 pre-sale early owl tickets are already SOLD OUT, so mark your calendars for a next release or this one may need to wait until next year.
Camping at EDC includes pre set-up tent pods for 4 people. Either with or without bedding and pillows. RV Camping with power is also available.
7. Lightning in a Bottle
Dates: May 22-24, 2024 Tickets go on sale in November
Location: Buena Vista Lake, CA
This is California’s premier camping music festival with 5 days of music, movement, yoga, art, interactivity, talks, discussions, workshops, camping and more. In 2023, Lightning in a Bottle celebrated its 20th anniversary.
With 7 stages of music ranging from electronic music to hip hop, it will be sure to please all music lovers.
Camping options include: car camping, group campsites, or an rv site with or without shore power. They also offer tent glamping and Airstream rentals. With all these options, it might be one of the best camping festivals around.

8. Bayou Country Superfest
Dates: Memorial Day Weekend Current Status: ON HIATUS
Location: Baton Rogue, LA
The Bayou Music Festival was held every year on Memorial Day weekend at Tiger Stadium in Louisiana. Unfortunately this country music festival has gone on hiatus until further notice. It is unclear if it will return.
9. Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival
Dates: June 15-18, 2023 (2024 dates not released yet)
Location: Manchester TN
This 4 day festival offers a diverse musical festival lineup with over 150 musicians including Zeds Dead, Kendrick Lamar, Cheryl Crow, Odesza and Foo Fighters. With 4 campground party barns and entertainment into the night, this is one of the best music festivals for lots of activities day and night.
Bonnaroo’s camping experience includes tent camping, car camping, primitive and power rv camping, They also offer tent rental accommodations ranging from basic to luxury. So there are many options to choose from.
Other activities include the campground plazas, with many activities and amenities. You will also find parades, yoga, 5K run, a sober area, a brewery area, a relaxing area, ferris wheel and market. There is also a water park to beat the summer heat with an inflatable water slide. And there is still more to do at Bonnaroo.
10. Electric Forest
Dates: June 22-25, 2023 (2024 dates not released yet)
Location: Rothbury, MI
Electric Forest is a 4 day music festival featuring electronic and jam band genres. At the festival you will also find a lineup of art installations. As of early January, both the music and art lineups have not yet been announced.
Camping at the festival includes tent-only camping, car camping, limited RV camping and glamping.
Unfortunately, this year is already completely sold out. So mark your calendars for 2024 if this is on your bucket list.
11. The Peach Music Festival
Dates: Jun 29-July 2, 2023 (2024 dates not released yet)
Location: Montage Mountain, Scranton, PA
The Peach Music Festival is a 4 day live music festival started by the Allman Brothers Band and Live Nation Entertainment in 2012. This festival ticket prices includes access to the water park with a lazy river, water slides and more!
This years biggest names include Tedeshi Truck Band, Goose, My Morning Jacket and Ween. The jam band genres are sure to put on an incredible event.
Camping at The Peach includes regular camping, RV camping and glamping. There are a limited number of on-site and off-site RV park camping spots available and all camping is primitive. Glamping sites are available and include a cot, sleeping bag and pillow among other amenities.
12. Rock Fest
Dates: July 18-20, 2024
Location: Caott WI
With 3 days of live music including rock, classic rock and heavy metal music genre. Spread over 5 stages with over 70+ favorite artists and 7,000 campsites. This music festival is the largest rock music and camping music festivals in the United States.
Tickets and the full line up will be released soon. Pantera was a headliner for 2023. Unlike other outdoor festivals you have the option for a 3 day or 1 day music festival pass and camping pass.
Camping at Rock Fest includes general campsites, electric campsites and glamping. Camping sold out early f0r 2023. So, music fans plan early for 2024 if you want to camp at this festival.
13. Firefly Music Festival
Dates: September 2024 ON A ONE YEAR HIATUS
Location: Dover, DE
Firefly Music Festival will return in 2024 after taking a year off in 2023 to recharge its lights. The Firefly Festival is a 4 day event located at the Woodlands of Dover Motor Speedway. At this time the website offers limited information.
Past performances include Chemical Romance, Dua Lipa, Green Day and Kendrick Lamar. Sign up to receive the latest Firefly updates and dates for 2024.
Tent and RV Camping is available at the festival, although the site does not have current details.
14. Born and Raised
Dates: September 13- 16, 2023
Location: Pryor, OK
This 4 day music festival is set to come back in 2023. Last years lineup included Zach Bryan, Cody Jinks, Lynyrd Skynard and Tanya Tucker. Offering single day and weekend festival passes.
Camping at the festival includes car, tent and RV camping. The camping is primitive and does not offer power or water but does have showers and toilets on site. There are also glamping packages and RVshare packages available.
15. Rocklahoma
Dates: Sept 1-3, 2023
Locations: Pryor, OK
This 3 day rock music festival is held over Labor Day weekend and its America’s biggest Labor Day Party.
Line up for 2023 includes Godsmack, Pantera, Rob Zombie, Limp Bizkit and many others. Passes include weekend and single day admission.
Camping includes camper, car and tent camping. With VIP camping options along with glamping. Camping options are still available as of August 1, 2023.
16. Country Thunder
Locations in AZ, FL, WI, TN, FL and Canada
The country’s premier country music festival with six locations around the US and Canada. Each location offers a different line up of artists. So make sure to check the website for details of each locations.
Camping at Country Thunder includes car and tent camping, RV camping with or without power and some have a water options. There are some glamping options and campsites close to the festival entrance. Each location varies, so check the location for details.

Okee is taking a hiatus for 2024, and maybe longer. The future of that fest is really up in the air right now. Which is really sad, that is our local summer camping fest and we go every year. Great fest, I hope to see it back in 2025.

I would call these the largest music festivals not the best. The Gathering of the Juggalos is the wildest. Backwoods is low key best hippie festival.
